Product Description
Our Solid Thimbles are used to protect the eyes of cable and wire rope slings from abrasion by providing a solid steel barrier between the fragile cable strands and the other rigging fitting used in the connection. They are designed according to GB/T 5974.2-2006 standards for making a 'hard' eye with wire rope, it creates a loop at wire rope ends.
- Solid Thimbles for Wire Ropes with diameters from 8mm to 32mm are made of Cast Steel.
- Solid Thimbles for Wire Ropes with diameters from 36mm to 60mm are made of Ductile Iron, which offers increased fatigue and impact-resistance than Cast Iron.
- Finish: self colored or rust colored.
- Sizes for the thimble hole can be customized upon request.
