An Optical Network Terminal (ONT) serves as the critical interface between fiber optic networks and your local network infrastructure. Typically installed on building exteriors or in utility areas, the ONT converts optical signals from fiber cables into electrical signals that routers and other network devices can utilize.

The HK717 ONT converts light-based fiber network signals into copper Ethernet signals for your router. It communicates with your service provider's fiber network through the Termination Point using optical fiber cabling, then connects to your router via standard Ethernet cable to distribute internet connectivity throughout your facility.

This unit requires standard 100-240V AC power to operate. The device includes indicator lights to show power status and network connectivity. For troubleshooting connectivity issues, always verify that the ONT is receiving adequate power before checking other network components.
