Customized Waste Material Sorting Machine Ballistic Separator Double Stage
Hengyang designs and builds single-stage and double stage ballistic separators for efficient waste material sorting. These separators are positioned upstream in sorting plants and utilize the different physical properties of materials to achieve precise separation.
Separation Technology
The ballistic separator operates on the principle that materials follow different flight trajectories when propelled. Fed material falls onto a rotating inclined bottom, which imparts momentum and generates upward movement. Light fractions (flat and thin materials) are thrown upward along flat trajectories and transported to the upper discharge hopper, while heavy fractions (cubic and solid materials) flow downward to the lower discharge hopper.
Three Output Fractions
This screening process generates three distinct fractions:
- Sieved fraction - fine screened materials
- Light fraction - flat and thin materials
- Heavy fraction - cubic and solid materials
