Electro-Deionization Water Purification System
The Electro-Deionization (EDI) process represents the latest advancement in deionized water treatment technology, delivering ultrapure water for demanding industrial applications. EDI utilizes ion exchange resins combined with a DC voltage potential to effectively remove cation and anion contaminants from feed water supplies.
Advanced ion selective membranes within the modules continuously extract these contaminants and discharge them through a concentrated waste stream. The applied voltage enables electrochemical water splitting into hydrogen (H+) and hydroxide (OH-) ions within the ion exchange resins, facilitating continuous regeneration without chemical additives, wastewater neutralization requirements, or system downtime.
