This industrial water treatment system features a 15m³/hour capacity FRP tank with multimedia sand and carbon filtration to effectively remove total suspended solids (TSS), turbidity, color, taste, residual chlorine, and organic compounds from water sources.

Operating Cycles
Service Cycle: Water flows downward through multiple filter media layers where solids accumulate in the media bed, producing purified water for downstream processes.
Backwash Cycle: When pressure drop increases or clogging occurs, flow is reversed to clean the media bed. Backwash flow rates are specifically calibrated for optimal media cleaning.
The multimedia filter utilizes granular materials including quartz sand, anthracite, and manganese sand to effectively remove suspended impurities, achieving effluent turbidity below 3 NTU.
Activated Carbon Filtration
The activated carbon filter employs adsorption technology to remove color, taste, residual chlorine, and organic compounds. With its developed pore structure and large specific surface area, it effectively eliminates difficult-to-remove pollutants including benzene, phenolic compounds, surfactants, synthetic detergents, and dyes.
Performance specifications include: suspended solids removal to less than 0.1 mg/L, COD removal rate of 40-50%, and free chlorine reduction to below 0.1 mg/L.

Water Softening Process
The ion exchange process removes calcium and magnesium hardness from water using cation resin in sodium form. During service cycles, hardness ions are exchanged for sodium ions, producing softened water.
Regeneration Process
When resin becomes exhausted, regeneration is performed using sodium chloride solution. The salt solution replaces calcium and magnesium from the resin, restoring its softening capacity. Regeneration frequency depends on usage and system design.
