Closed suction system is used to suck the sputum and secretion in respiratory tract, in order to prevent plugging of the airways. The catheter is used by directly inserted into the throat or by the inserted tracheal tube for anaesthesia.
To achieve above-mentioned purpose, the tube should resist to kink, collapse and be soft enough for intubating to avoid respiratory cavity injury.
The Closed Suction Catheter is made of PVC which has appropriate rigidity, it resists to kink and soft enough for intubating, When connected to vacuum source, the shaft can resist to collapse.
