Safety tips:

Protect your hands from broken glass by using a paper towel, light cloth or piece of gauze when opening the ampoule.To open the ampoule, hold it with both hands, with one thumb against the narrow top section. Hold the bottom of the ampoule firmly while pushing the top section away from you with easy, even pressure. A light pressure should cleanly snap the ampoule open, while using too much force can cause it to shatter.

There are two types of foldable ampoules, the color ring foldable ampoules and the dot score foldable ampoules. Color ring easy-folding ampoule is a kind of low melting point powder whose expansion coefficient is twice higher than that of ampoule glass, which is melted and solidified on the neck of the ampoule to form a ring. Stress, it can be broken flat with a single fold, and it is not easy to produce glass debris. The point-notch easy-folding ampoule has a slight notch on the curved neck, and a color dot with a diameter of 2mm is marked in the center of the notch. When breaking, apply force to the back in the middle of the notch. At present, ampoules are mostly colorless, which is helpful for checking the clarity of the liquid. For drugs that require shading, amber glass ampoules can be used. Amber color filters out UV light and is suitable for photosensitive drugs. Amber ampoules contain iron oxide. Traces of iron oxide may be leached into the product. If the product contains ingredients that can be catalyzed by iron ions, amber glass containers should not be used.
