1. SAFEFIRE MED EC 6kg ABC Dry Powder Portable Fire Extinguisher
The SAFEFIRE range of portable cartridge operated type fire extinguishers is certified to BS EN3 and is manufactured under an ISO 9001 approved Quality System. Extinguishers are available in a wide range of sizes with ABC dry powder, Monnex powder, AFFF foam and water models.
2.The extinguisher bodies are fly deep drawn from cold rolled steel, and pressure tested to twice the extinguisher’s working pressure. Cylinders are externally coated with polyester (with phosphate under treatment) for maximum corrosion resistance and have passed the 480-hour salt spray test. The water and foam extinguishers are internally coated with “performance polymer alloy” to prevent corrosion. Its chrome plated operating brass headcap is fitted with a safety relief valve.
3. Dry Powder (ABC): ABC dry powder extinguisher is effective on Class A (carbonaceous) fire, Class B (flammable liquid) fire and Class C (flammable gas) fire. It is also suitable for use on live electrical fires.
4.Monnex Powder: Monnex powder extinguisher is recommended for high risk areas where rapid knockdown is required on Class B and C fires. Monnex is particarly suitable for use in refineries, petrochemical complexes and other high hazard areas.
5.The standard dry powder extinguishers are also known as ABC extinguishers as these can be used for
class A, class B and class C fires.Dry powder extinguishers smother fires by forming a barrier between the fuel and source of oxygen.
The label colour for this type of extinguisher is blue.
