Both woven and embroidered patches are excellent ways to decorate, enhance, highlight

or embellish the look of your apparel and products. They both use threads to articulate

and express your design concepts. However, an embroidered patch is a piece of embroidery

made from a fabric backing and thread while a woven patch is created by weaving the

threads together to create a patch. Due to the difference in how they are made, you may

want to use one over the other.

If you have more details in your design, we recommend a woven patch over embroidered

patch. But if you have a simple design and need more body to the patch, then embroidered

patch is better.
