Fabrics woven with aramid flame retardant fibers have good dimensional stability and can be used for long periods at temperatures of 250 degrees Celsius with a thermal shrinkage of only 1%. A forest fireis unenclosed and freely spreading combustion that consumes the natural fuels of a forest—i.e., duff,gass,weeds, brush, and trees.
