Electro-galvanized steel is created by electroplating a pure zinc coating on either one or two sides of a carbon
steel sheet or strip.
Before being immersed in a bath of molten zinc, the steel must pass through a surface-preparation process,
including caustic cleaning, pickling, and fluxing. After the carbon steel surface is properly prepared,
the steel is passed through a molten zinc-plating bath.
The continuous electrolytic coating process covers the steel surface with a highly uniform coating.
As a result, electro galvanized steel has a thin, smooth, zinc coating that is exceptionally uniform with a matte
appearance.
We offer electro-galvanized master coils and we can slit to width (narrow widths are our specialty) as well.
