This advanced transceiver converts 4-channel 100Gbps aggregated NRZ electrical input data into one channel of 50Gbaud PAM4 optical signal using DSP-based gearbox technology. The transmitter employs a cooled Electro-absorption Modulated DFB Laser (EML) operating at 1310nm center wavelength, while the receiver converts incoming 50Gbaud PAM4 optical signals back to 4 channels of 25Gbps NRZ electrical outputs through a linear amplifier system.
