The function of the throttle body :The common throttle body is controlled by a throttle cable, which is composed of a valve plate position sensor and a stepper motor. The idle speed is controlled by a stepper motor. When refueling, the throttle cable pulls the valve plate open, and the throttle plate position sensor also rotates (it is a variable resistor) to change its resistance value, Then the variable voltage signal is output to the ECU. In order to control the opening and closing of the throttle by depressing the accelerator pedal, there is a linkage between the accelerator pedal and the throttle. This device is the cable accelerator system.

 

The traditional cable accelerator is connected with the accelerator pedal at one end and the throttle valve at the other end through a steel wire. Its transmission ratio is 1:1, that is to say, the opening angle of the throttle valve is the same as the number of steps we use.

 

The traditional accelerator adopts rigid connection, that is, the mechanical connection between the accelerator pedal and the throttle through the pull rod or cable transmission. Therefore, the throttle opening depends entirely on the position of the accelerator pedal, that is, the driver's operating intention. However, from the perspective of power and economy, the engine is not always in the best operating condition, and the driver's misoperation also brings hidden dangers to safety.
