316 SS Plate Description
Stainless steel of 316 grade is a composition of 16% chromium, 12 to 14% nickel, 2 to 3% molybdenum, and a very minimum percentage of carbon. The chromium forms a thin layer of metal oxide is created over the steel sheet, which protects the stainless steel sheet from corrosive materials.Due to the presence of molybdenum,316 stainless steel has greatly improved its corrosion resistance and high temperature strength.
