Joy Shing Glass manufactures high-quality toughened safety glass with a comprehensive 10-year warranty. Our toughened glass undergoes a specialized thermal tempering process that increases its strength and safety characteristics significantly.
Manufacturing Process
Toughened glass, also known as safety tempered glass, is produced by heating regular annealed glass to approximately 650℃ to its softening point, then cooling it rapidly. This thermal tempering process creates surface compression and internal tension, resulting in glass that is 5 times more resistant to wind load, impact, and thermal shock compared to regular annealed glass of the same thickness.
