What is annular bop
Large gate, usually fitted with a ram type blowout preventer operation to form a sealed annular space between the tubing string and the wellbore in the well, baa case of a column-plugging can also be done individually, but used several times to die, and does not allow the use of long-term shut-in.
Main components
Lower housing, upper housing, piston, adapter ring, and packing element. All components are designed and built for ease of maintenance and ultimate reliability.
How the annular preventers work
Close – When the hydraulic oil is pumped into the extended port, the element inside will be lifted and squeezed into the pipe/tubular.
Open – On the other hand, if the hydraulic fluid is pumped into the retract port, the element will be pushed down resulting in releasing the tubular.
