These self-lubricating graphite bronze bushings feature embedded graphite plugs impregnated with oil. When friction between the bushing and guide post generates temperatures of 80-90°F, oil is released from the plugs to lubricate the wear surface. A distinctive dark smear pattern forms as oil and graphite embed into the bronze or steel grain, ensuring continuous lubrication for optimal tool performance.
