Static Mixer Description

Static mixers do not have rotating components such as mixing impellers. Instead, a series of carefully designed mixing elements generate turbulence in the flowing fluid, thereby blending the incoming streams. Static mixers are commonly used in applications requiring continuous mixing but can also be integrated with recirculation lines for batch production processes.

These mixers are suitable for blending any pumpable fluid, regardless of flow regime. Depending on the desired process outcome, the internal elements modify the flow pattern—creating specific divisions, rotational flows, and mixing profiles—to achieve homogenization under laminar, transitional, or turbulent flow conditions.
