Industrial Inclined Screw Feeder Material Handling Equipment For Manufacturing Plant

Screw feeder, also known as screw conveyor, is a versatile material handling equipment that works alongside scraper conveyors and bucket conveyors. The basic structure primarily consists of a feeding hopper, feeding screw, and transmission mechanism.

The screw feeder utilizes a weighing bridge to detect the weight of passing material, determining the material weight on the conveyor. A digital speed sensor installed at the tail continuously measures the feeder's running speed. The speed sensor's pulse output is proportional to the feeder's speed. Both speed and weight signals are sent to the feeding controller, where the microprocessor processes the data to generate and display cumulative amounts and instantaneous flow rates. The actual flow rate is compared with the set flow rate, and the controller's output signal adjusts the frequency converter to modify the feeder's driving speed, enabling precise material flow control that maintains the set feed rate for accurate quantitative feeding.
