A matrix net is placed inside the working chamber surrounded by screw coils. AC power is converted to DC excitation power through a silicon rectifier control system. When the coil is energized, the matrix becomes magnetized, creating a non-uniform magnetic field on its surface—a high gradient magnetic field. As slurry passes through the matrix, magnetic materials are absorbed while non-magnetic materials pass through, effectively separating magnetic from non-magnetic substances.
