When being heated in an oxidizing atmosphere, other heating elements might get oxidized and damaged rapidly. However, the MoSi₂ heating element is capable of forming an antioxidant quartz glass layer on its surface.
Regarding the temperature performance, it can reach a maximum temperature of 1800℃, which is considerably higher than that of many ordinary heating elements. Its applicable temperature range spans from 500℃ to 1700℃, being relatively broader and thus capable of meeting the diverse temperature requirements of different industries.
