It is strictly prohibited to overload the use of silicon carbon rods. If the rods break due to some reasons or uneven heating is found, and some parts show incandescent or dark red phenomenon, it indicates that the aging of the rod body is inconsistent. The resistance difference between each section is too large, and the furnace should be shut down for maintenance and replacement of the rods. It is best to replace all the rods with new ones. If replacing some new rods or a single rod, the resistance of the new rod may not match the resistance of the used rod properly, resulting in unbalanced load and uneven furnace temperature. Due to the large difference in resistance, the temperature of the rod is also related, which will seriously affect its service life.
