This advanced testing apparatus evaluates the limited flame spread characteristics of vertically oriented flexible materials used in protective clothing. The equipment tests single-layer or multi-component fabrics including coated, quilted, multi-layer, and sandwich fabrics using two standardized procedures: surface ignition (Procedure A) and bottom edge ignition (Procedure B).
