The Carestream DRX-1 detector uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. This battery pack is more than just a power source; it also incorporates intelligent management circuitry essential for wireless operation, warm-up, and proper operating cycles.

This high capacity battery ensures the detector can complete a large number of exposures. An internal circuit board monitors battery health, charge cycles, and temperature, and communicates with the detector to prevent overcharging or over-discharging.

• Avoid Temperature Extremes: Do not operate or store the detector in extremely high or low ambient temperatures.
• Long-Term Storage: Charge the battery to approximately 50%-60% before storing for extended periods.
• Cleaning: Keep battery contacts clean using a cotton swab dipped in alcohol if needed.
