The eddy current separator generates an alternating magnetic field through a high-speed rotating permanent magnetic roller. When conductive metals (copper, aluminum, etc.) pass through, eddy currents induce a repulsive force (Lorentz force) that ejects and separates the metals from non-metallic materials (plastics, glass).
The system consists of two main parts:
