1. Install module in any RX3i I/O slot; torque captive screws to 0.4 N·m
2. Connect ports using CAT5e or higher cables (maximum 100 m); ports feature auto-MDIX
3. Assign IP address via Proficy Machine Edition > Hardware Configuration > ETM001 > Static or DHCP
4. Configure protocols - enable SRTP, Modbus, EGD or OPC-UA as required
5. Apply and download configuration to CPU flash; power cycle is optional
6. Verify LED indicators - green "LAN" steady, amber "ACT" blinks with network traffic
