1. Slide board into 35 mm DIN-rail inside rack; latch until click.
2. Set jumpers - choose 5 V or 24 V input level; terminate RS-485 if last node.
3. Wire encoder - use shielded twisted-pair, shield earthed at board only.
4. Connect 24 V - observe polarity; green "PWR" LED lights.
5. Configure controller - select "EXT PULSE" source, set pulses/revolution.
6. Verify pulses - oscilloscope on output terminals should show clean square wave.
