A hygienic pressure transmitter refers to a pressure transmitter whose design and materials fully comply with relevant hygiene standards, ensuring that it does not contaminate the product during measurement, is less prone to microbial growth, and is easy to thoroughly clean and disinfect.
Core advantages:
- No dead corners (easy to clean): Utilizes hygienic process connections such as Tri-Clamp (three-piece clamp), ensuring smooth transitions at connection points with no crevices, grooves or threads.
- Material compatibility and safety: Made of 316L stainless steel (low carbon, resistant to intergranular corrosion). For highly corrosive media, more advanced materials such as Hastelloy C-22 can be used. All materials must be non-toxic, non-absorbent and corrosion-resistant.
- Sterilizable and CIP/SIP tolerant: Can withstand repeated flushing with high-temperature, high-concentration acid/alkali cleaning solutions; capable of withstanding online steam sterilization (typically ≥121°C, ≥30 minutes, above 2 bar abs pressure) without damage.
