1.Product Introduction

The Cement Ball Mill, also known as a Cement Mill, is the primary equipment used in cement production for grinding clinker and raw materials. It is a horizontal cylindrical rotating device. The core structure consists of the cylinder, liners, diaphragm plates, feeding and discharging devices, and transmission gears. Materials enter the mill through a hollow shaft. As the cylinder rotates, the internal steel balls are lifted to a certain height by centrifugal force and then fall, creating an impact and grinding effect that completes the process from coarse to fine grinding. The processed material is eventually discharged through the discharge grate. This equipment supports both dry and wet grinding methods and can be integrated with drying systems to perform grinding and drying simultaneously.



2.Application

  • Cement Industry: Used for the final grinding of cement clinker and the preparation of raw materials (such as limestone and clay).

  • Mining & Metallurgy: Fine grinding of various metallic and non-metallic ores, including iron and copper ore.

  • Chemicals & Building Materials: Grinding of gypsum, silicates, refractories, fertilizers, and raw materials for glass and ceramics.

  • Power & Environment: Used in power plant desulfurization systems for limestone powder preparation and the processing of industrial waste (such as slag and fly ash).


3.Working Principle

  • Feeding: Material is fed uniformly and spirally into the first chamber of the mill through the feeding device via the hollow shaft.

  • Coarse Grinding: The first chamber is equipped with stepped or corrugated liners and various specifications of steel balls. The centrifugal force from the rotating cylinder carries the balls to a high point, where they fall and subject the material to intense impact and coarse grinding.

  • Fine Grinding: The coarsely ground material enters the second chamber through a single-layer diaphragm plate. This chamber contains flat liners and smaller steel balls, which further grind the material to achieve the required fineness.

  • Discharging: The final qualified fine powder is discharged through the discharge grate, completing the entire milling process.
