Modular Log Washing Plant Sand Washing Equipment
Modular Log Washing Plant
1.Product Introduction
The Modular Log Washer is an integrated, mobile mineral processing unit. Its core unit utilizes rotary log scrubber technology combined with a modular chassis designed for rapid assembly and disassembly. Specifically engineered to handle coarse-grained ores with high clay and impurity content, this system is a primary washing solution for heavy minerals such as gold, diamonds, and chromite. It is an ideal choice for small-to-medium-sized mining operations.
2.Application
-
Gold Mining: Acts as a primary pre-washing stage for clay-heavy placer gold and alluvial deposits.
-
Diamond Processing: Used for the initial cleaning of coarse diamond ore to remove encrusted clay.
-
Heavy Minerals (Chromite, Tin, etc.): Ideal for the primary purification of raw ores with high mud content.
-
Aggregate Processing: Cleans natural sand and stone with high clay content to enhance the quality of construction-grade sand.
-
Remote or Temporary Mining Sites: The modular design facilitates easy transport and rapid deployment, making it perfect for seasonal or exploratory projects.
3.Working Principle
-
Feeding: Raw ore is uniformly fed into the washing trough via a vibrating feeder.
-
Mechanical Scrubbing: Rotating log-style paddles (or "logs") within the trough continuously lift and tumble the material. This generates intense physical friction and attrition, effectively stripping away clay, mud balls, and impurities.
-
Hydraulic Assistance: A high-pressure water spray system works in tandem with the mechanical action to rinse the material, flushing out the stripped fines and dust.
-
Classification & Discharge: Cleaned coarse minerals are discharged from the outlet, while the tailings slurry is processed through a settling or recycling system.
4.Advantages
- Superior Scrubbing Intensity: Exceptional at disintegrating viscous, clumped materials (such as "clay balls"), with a performance that far exceeds standard trommel or spiral washers.
- Robust and Durable: The design features no complex screens, making it resistant to clogging and low in maintenance—perfect for harsh working conditions.
- Modular "Plug-and-Play" Design: Can be quickly installed, dismantled, and transported, meeting the needs of operations that require frequent relocation.
- Lower Water Consumption: Compared to spiral washers, it typically consumes less water per unit of processed material.
- High Compatibility: Often serves as the frontline equipment in multi-stage systems, seamlessly integrating with downstream vibrating screens, shaking tables, and centrifuges to boost overall recovery rates.
