In terms of processing characteristics, it is equipped with a unique non-orthogonal ro-tary swing arm with precessional motion—this design prevents the polishing speed at the contact zone center from dro-pping to zero , generates random surface textures for better surface quality, and supports a quasi-Gaussian removal fu-nction to facilitate surface figure convergence. It also has adjustable-pressure series airbag polishing heads that ensure good conformity with the workpiece surface, and when combined with advanced CAM algorithms, further improve poli-shing efficiency and workpiece surface quality. The machine is supported by an open-architecture CNC system and pr-ofessional optical polishing CAM software . Its proven machining cases cover optical componentsand optical moulds , and a rapid polishing test on aspherical monocrystalline silicon s-howed that deep grinding marks were significantly reduced after 10 hours of polishing and completely removed after 32 hours.
