Operating Principle
Utilizing the strong magnetic field of permanent magnets, this detector magnetizes the surface of ferromagnetic materials. This creates localized magnetic poles on or near the surface, attracting high-quality magnetic powder to flaw locations. The accumulated powder reveals the shape and condition of defects for accurate inspection.
Structural Features
Features include continuously adjustable magnetic pole distance (50-200 mm) and rotatable probes for versatile surface detection. The unit enables segmented and partial testing on large workpieces, offering superior performance in elevated locations and areas with inconvenient power supply.
Operation Method
Before flaw detection, remove the fill iron and test lifting power (>18 kg) to ensure proper functionality. Adjust magnetic pole distance according to workpiece contact requirements as per detector technology rules. Large workpieces can be tested in segments. After operation, short the two yokes using fill iron to create loop control, minimizing ground and external magnetic interference.
