Operation Instructions
Hold the instrument at the middle section and gently place it on the sample surface. Read the hardness value within 1 second of contact. For improved accuracy, place samples on flat glass plates and take multiple measurements at different points.
Sample Preparation Requirements
- Sample thickness: 25mm - 30mm (stack if necessary)
- Minimum sample dimensions: 100mm × 100mm
- Measurement points: Minimum 5 points per sample
- Point spacing: Greater than 25mm apart
- Edge distance: At least 40mm from sample edges
Calibration & Maintenance
The instrument should read "0" when free and "100" when pressed against glass. Store in the instrument box in a dry location after use to prevent moisture damage.
