Product Description
Shore C & D Hardness Test Stand Overview
The Shore C and Shore D Durometer Test Stand is engineered to provide stable and accurate hardness measurements for rubber and polymer materials. This precision instrument ensures consistent testing force application through calibrated weights, delivering reliable results for quality control and material analysis.
Compatible Durometer Models
This test stand supports multiple Shore durometer types including Shore A, Shore D, Shore AO, Shore AM, and Shore C models, making it a versatile solution for various hardness testing applications.
Test Stand Structure
Operation Procedure
Calibration & Setup
- Mount the Shore durometer securely on the test stand using the installation pole
- Place the included hardness block on the glass stage
- Press down the handle to engage the durometer tip into the block hole
- Adjust using the nut under the glass stage to achieve ±1 accuracy of the signed value
Testing Procedure
- Position test material on the glass stage
- Operate the handle to apply designated weight force
- Read hardness values at specified intervals: 15 seconds for thermoplastic rubber, 3 seconds for vulcanized rubber, and 1 second for Shore C micropore materials
Extension Pole Usage
For samples thicker than 16mm, utilize the 100mm extension pole following these steps:
- Remove upper test stand assembly by unscrewing handwheel
- Disassemble base and column using hexagon wrench
- Connect extension rod to column and reassemble components
- Reinstall upper assembly and secure with handwheel
Weight Specifications
| Durometer Model | Total Weight Requirement | Standard Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Shore A & Shore AO | 1 kg | GB/T531.1-2008 |
| Shore C | 10 kg | GB/T531.1-2008 |
| Shore D | 50 kg | HG/T2489-2007 |
| Shore AM | 0.250 kg | GB/T531.1-2008 |
Usage Precautions
- Adjust weight mass according to specific durometer model requirements
- Maintain maximum pressing speed below 3.2mm/s in shock-free environments
- Follow standard specimen requirements based on material type
- Handle glass stage with care to prevent breakage from impact
Maintenance & Support
Clean the test stand after each use to prevent rust and ensure longevity. We provide one-year warranty coverage against manufacturing defects and offer lifetime technical support services.
