TG3100 Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge
Professional-grade ultrasonic thickness measurement device with scan mode capability for precise non-destructive testing of various materials including metals, plastics, ceramics, composites, epoxies, and glass.
Applications
This ultrasonic thickness gauge measures material thickness using ultrasonic wave transmission and reflection principles. It provides quick, accurate measurements for sheets, boards, processing parts, pipes, pressure vessels, and monitors thinning during operation. Widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, shipping, aerospace, aviation, and industrial fields.
Measuring Principle
The digital ultrasonic thickness gauge determines material thickness by precisely measuring the time required for an ultrasonic pulse to travel through the material, reflect from the back surface, and return to the transducer. The measured two-way transit time is halved to account for the down-and-back travel path, then multiplied by the material's sound velocity.
