Prepainted Galvalume Steel Coil AZ20–180 0.12–1.20mm 914–1250mm for Building Vehicle and Appliance Panels
Prepainted Galvalume Steel Coil AZ20–180 0.12–1.20mm 914–1250mm for Building Vehicle and Appliance Panels
1.Product Overview
Prepainted galvalume steel coil is used where a coated metallic substrate and a finished color surface are both required. The base metal uses aluminum-zinc alloy coating, and the painted surface is suitable for roofing panels, wall cladding, appliance shells, and other visible fabricated sheet parts.
This specification is suitable for downstream roll forming, cut-to-length production, and fabricated sheet processing in building panels, transport-related sheet parts, and appliance applications. Thickness range, width range, coating system, and coil dimensions are matched to mainstream coil-processing lines.
2.Technical Solution
The product combines a galvalume substrate with an organic paint system. The substrate standard uses ASTM A792, JIS G3321, or EN 10346 DX51D+AZ, with aluminum-zinc coating in the range of 20–180g/m2. This metallic layer is the main corrosion-protection base of the coil.
The painted side uses 10–20 micron polyester plus 5 micron primer. The reverse side uses 5–7 micron, or 7–8 micron polyester plus 5 micron primer. Paint categories include polyester, SMP, and PVDF, which can be selected according to outdoor exposure, color retention requirement, and service environment.

4.Application
This material is suitable for roofing sheets and wall cladding in workshops, warehouses, airports, and storerooms.
It can also be used for vehicles, ships, mechanical and electrical equipment housings, and household appliance outer panels.
For industrial panels and visible formed sheet components, it provides a practical combination of coated substrate protection and decorative finish.
5.Processing
- The coil can be supplied for cut-to-length production according to final sheet size requirements.
- It can be slit into narrower widths for downstream profiling and panel production.
- It is suitable for roll forming into roofing sheets and wall cladding profiles.
- Protective film can be applied on the top side when required.
6.Advantages
- The product uses galvalume substrate with aluminum-zinc coating, which is suitable for painted sheet applications requiring substrate protection and surface finish.
- The thickness range of 0.12–1.20mm covers mainstream panel fabrication and roll forming requirements.
- The width range of 914–1250mm matches common roofing and cladding processing lines.
- AZ20–180 coating range supports different service environments and processing requirements.
- Multiple paint systems are available, allowing coating selection according to exterior exposure and appearance retention needs.
7.How to Choose
- Choose PPGL when the project requires galvalume or Aluzinc substrate rather than zinc-only galvanized substrate.
- Choose polyester for standard building use, SMP for stronger weather exposure, and PVDF for higher UV resistance and longer exterior durability.
- Choose thickness according to the final panel rigidity requirement and forming route.
- Choose width according to the roll-forming line, final panel layout, and production efficiency target.
- Choose higher AZ coating levels when the service environment is more demanding.
