GPIB24P Male Centronics IEEE488 Connector 24 Pin IDC Crimping with Wire Clip 2.16mm Pitch
IEEE488 24 Pin Female IDC Crimping Connector with Wire Cover 2.16mm pitch
This Centronics 24-pin connector IDC Female type connector originated from the Centronics Corporation, a manufacturer based in Nashua, New Hampshire. In the 1970s, Centronics produced printers for computer systems, and their connector design became the factory industry standard. The company was acquired by Genicom (now TallyGenicom) in the 1980s, but their legacy continues through this connector type.
The Centronics connector features a plastic bar in the center of the connector body that holds the contact pins, with the body typically colored black or blue. The 24-pin connector is arranged in two rows, each containing 12 contacts.
