ASTM A213 T5 Alloy Steel Seamless Round Tube
Alloy steel is intentionally blended with various elements to enhance mechanical properties. These elements are added in amounts ranging from 1.0% to 50% by weight. Alloy steels are classified as either low-alloy or high-alloy steels, with the distinction typically falling between 4.0% and 8.0% alloy content.
Common alloying elements include manganese, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, silicon, and boron. Alloy steels offer improved properties compared to carbon steels, including increased strength, hardness, toughness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, hardenability, and hot hardness.
