Introduction of A269 TP304L Austenitic Stainless Steel Tubing
ASTM A269 TP304L is a standard specification for seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubing, primarily used for ''general corrosive-resisting service'' and applications involving low or high temperatures.
Manufactured from ''TP304L grade'' (UNS S30403), this tubing is characterized by its low carbon content (maximum 0.035%), which significantly minimizes the risk of ''intergranular corrosion'' after welding or exposure to elevated temperatures. It offers excellent formability, good weldability, and robust mechanical properties, making it a versatile choice for transporting corrosive fluids and gases where material integrity and longevity are critical.
Commonly supplied in cold-finished conditions with either bright annealed (BA) or pickled (AP) finishes, it is widely utilized in industries such as chemical processing, petrochemical, food and beverage, and instrumentation.
