ASTM A179/ ASME SA179 tubes have good mechanical properties including high tensile strength and good ductility, a low carbon content which makes them suitable for bending, flaring, and other forming operations. It also makes them suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature applications, which are commonly used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, and HVAC systems where efficient heat transfer is essential.  A179 tubes have a smooth and clean surface finish, which is important for heat transfer applications. The tubes are usually coated with a light oil or phosphate coating to prevent oxidation and corrosion during transportation and storage.

Marking Specification

ASTM A179 / ASME SA179 tubes shall be marked according to standard of A450, with product name and order number.
