What is ASTM A694 Flanges?
ASTM A694 flanges are available in different grades such as F42, F52, F60, F65 and F70. the difference lies in the chemical composition. the composition of ASME SA694 high yield CS F52 slip-on flange has carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, molybdenum, nickel, chromium, copper, vanadium and niobium.
ASTM A694 flange is used to connect pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. It is usually in the form of a welded or screwed fastening. It has a joint where the two flanges are bolted together with a gasket in between to provide a seal.
