Copper-nickel has the best corrosion resistance, especially in marine salt water environment. Copper-nickel alloys selected for seawater service contain 30-10% nickel and up to 70-90% copper. Copper-Nickel 90/10 also has valuable iron and manganese additions, which are necessary to maintain good corrosion resistance. Copper Nickel 90/10 is used where high temperatures are required and also provides long service life.
