ASTM A213 standard is a common used specification for Seamless Ferritic and Austenitic Alloy-Steel Boiler, Super heater, and Heat-Exchanger Tubes,The material has carbon, manganese, sulfur, silicon, phosphorus, chromium and molybdenum in the composition which makes the material strong, corrosion resistant and ductile.
The SA213 Grade T5 Tubes have similar strength to the 304 and 316 grades of stainless steel.
The chromium and molybdenum content of the material makes it chloride resistant and pitting resistant. The A213 T5 Alloy Steel Tube is also resistant to reducing acids and other general corrosive media.
ASTM A213 T5 Tube can be either hot rolled or cold drawn with delivery conditions ranging as normalizing rolled, thermomechanical rolled, normalized and tempered, quenched and tempered and so on.
