ASTM A403 WP304L Stainless Steel Butt Weld Pipe Fittings mean the pipe fittings which material is wrought austenitic stainless grade WP304L. They are usually used for the pressure piping systems of moderate and high temperature services. ASTM A403 indicates the materials properties of different kinds of stainless steel. WP304L is one of the steel grades of this standard. The corrosion resistance of WP304L and WP304 are similar. But after eliminating stress or welding, corrosion resistance of WP304L is more excellent. ASTM A403 WP304L is the most common stainless steel pipe fittings material.
