What is Head?
Head, also called end cap, is a component used to close the end of a vessel to isolate its internal and external media. According to the shape of head surface, it can be divided into convex, conical, flat and combined shapes. According to different geometric shapes, it can be divided into spherical, elliptical, disc, spherical crown, conical shell and flat cap, etc. Among them, spherical, elliptical, disc and spherical crown type heads are also collectively called convex heads. Materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel alloy, etc. The executive standards of heads are GBT25198, GBT12459, GBT13401, DLT695, GD87 for electric power and SH3408, SH3409 for petrochemical.
