ASTM A240 F904L Stainless Steel Flanges are made up of a non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel material. The material has 23% nickel, 19% chromium and carbon, silicon, cupper, sulfur, manganese, phosphorus and 4% molybdenum in the composition. The flanges come under ASTM A182 and ASTM A240 specifications. The ASTM A240 F904L Stainless Steel Flanges has high corrosion resistant. They are in particular resistance to chloride ion, mild acids and oxidation. Thus, these flanges can be used in sour water, sea water and marine applications.
