ASTM A182 F316 Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance when it's exposed to corrosive environments and media. It’s usually considered as “marine grade” stainless steel but it isn’t proof against warm sea water. The warm chloride environment can cause fittings and crevice corrosion. F316 is additionally subject to worry corrosion cracking above around 60 °C.
