ASTM B165 N04400 is an alloy composed of Ni and Cu, with a copper content of 28% -34% and a nickel content of ≥ 63%. ASTM B165 N04400 combines the noble metal properties of Cu with the passivation properties of Ni, exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance. Therefore, it is widely used in seawater desalination plants, heat exchangers, surface materials of marine structures, seawater desalination/salt making/petroleum refining plants, marine components, heat exchangers, chemical/seawater desalination plant valves, pump components, etc.

Monel 400 alloy (UNS N04400 or MCu-28-1.5-1.8 or Ni68Cu28Fe) is a nickel based alloy material with excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, chemical solvents, ammonia sulfur chloride, hydrogen chloride, various acidic media such as sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, organic acids, alkaline media, salt, and molten salt. Monel 400 alloy has excellent mechanical properties and is widely used from low to high temperatures, exhibiting excellent welding performance and medium to high strength. Monel 400 is mainly used in fields such as chemistry, petrochemicals, and ocean development.
