A105 round steel is ASTM A105/A105M standard "Carbon steel forgings for Pipeline components", and A stands for ordinary carbon structural steel. Widely used in high pressure vessels and petrochemical pipe fittings, valves, flanges manufacturing. Because this standard specifies only one kind of carbon steel forgings, A105 is even a forging carbon steel grade, A105 is a low carbon steel forgings, similar to 20# steel.
The carbon content of carbon structural steel is about 0.05% ~ 0.70%, and some can reach 0.90%. A105 is the American ASTM standard number, and A stands for general carbon structural steel. Only one type of carbon steel forgings is required in this specification, and A105 is also counted as a forged carbon steel model. A105 is also a material number, belonging to the special steel, is a cold forged steel.
