ASTM A182 F321 (UNS S32100) Forged Stainless Steel Weld Neck Flange , Raised Face
Stainless steel has become the key material for industrial applications because of its good durability, corrosion resistance, and excellent welding properties. ASTM A182 F321 stainless steel is usually used as a base material to manufacture weld neck flanges, connecting devices that join two pipes or valves, and serve as a leak-proof joint. ASTM A182 F321 is useful for applications like chemical processing, food processing, aerospace, petroleum refining, pharmaceutical, etc.. ASTM A182 F321 stainless steel weld neck flange is an austenitic stainless steel alloy which is similar in its chemistry to F304 stainless steel. The difference between F321 Stainless Steel Flanges and F304 is the addition of titanium and the controlled content of carbon. Titanium is added in F321 as a stabilizing element and is almost 5 times the amount of carbon in flanges. With the addition of titanium, the alloy inherits the good property of withstanding high temperature. Therefore, F321 also has excellent creep strength. The low content of carbon of SS 321 Flanges can reduce carbide precipitation during welding.
